One of the functions of the National Commission is to carry out capacity building on human rights in the country. In line with this, the commission has undertaken widespread awareness on business and human rights targeting state actors, businesses and communities in which these businesses operate. The aim is to ensure that there is respect and observance of human rights by public and private institutions as required by the constitution while at the same time ensuring that communities are able to demand their rights and observe their obligations.
