CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO THE PRESIDENT ELECT

On 9th August 2022, Kenyans went to the polls to elect new leaders, including the President. On 5th September, 2022 the Supreme Court of Kenya rendered its ruling and upheld the election of the President-elect.

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights commends the Supreme Court of Kenya for delivering its judgment within the set timelines and abiding by their constitutional mandate. The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights salutes all Kenyans for maintaining peace and stability in our Country throughout the 2022 electoral period.

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights congratulates His Excellency the  President Elect Hon. William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President Elect Hon. Rigathi Gachagua upon affirmation of their election and assuming the responsible and high mission of leading All KENYANS for the next 5 years. We wish them well.

Their election now carries greater legitimacy and credibility, and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights believes that the new Government will remain true to the promotion and protection of the rights and freedoms of all Kenyan compatriots.

To all Kenyans, may we individually and collectively be magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat.

May we all be true to our National Anthem clarion call:Let all in one accord; in common bond united; Build this our nation together”.
